Coopersville Area Chamber of Commerce

OPPORTUNITY IS KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR!

Are you a smiling face?  Would you like to make some new business contacts?  Do you want to gain more exposure and influence?    How about getting to know the “movers & shakers” in the Chamber? Would you like to maximize your chamber benefits?  Want to network more?  The Coopersville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the formation of an Ambassador Committee for us!

Being an Ambassador is an opportunity for you and your employer to be in the spotlight.  It provides you with extended business contacts through active association with other members and prospective members.  By volunteering at chamber events and attending the monthly Ambassador meetings, your business is always involved and kept current on what is going on within our community. Ambassadors enjoy professional and community recognition for themselves and their firms.  You’ll have increased networking opportunities through expanded communication and marketing opportunities.  It is a win-win situation; Ambassadors will enhance our community through high profile efforts while giving back to our Chamber Membership.

An Ambassador is the right arm of the Chamber of Commerce. Composed of high-energy, outgoing and friendly Chamber members, many with a professional sales background, Ambassadors gain business exposure by being the first to meet Chamber Members and put their company’s name in the forefront.

Ambassadors Duties Include:

  • Act as hosts at Chamber functions
  • Welcome new members and introduce them to other members that may benefit their own business.
  • Work to increase membership and strengthen retention through communication and relationship building
  • Improve awareness of Chamber benefits.
  • Participate in ribbon cuttings, After hours networking programs, and much more.

If you are an outgoing person we want you!  If you are a wanna be outgoing person we want you too!  Extroverts, we definitely want you!  Ambassadors are the special people that are the key to getting the most from Chamber Membership dollars.  What better way to cultivate professional and personal relationships?  Coopersville Chamber is preparing to implement this program and start reaping the benefits.  If you are interested in knowing more please contact: Gina Otterbein, 997-6172. The “Ambassador of the Year” Award is already within your reach.

Miss Coopersville

2007-2008

Chelsea Weaver

Chelsea, age 17 and a senior at CoopersvilleHigh School, was awarded the title of Miss Coopersville in August during Summerfest.  Her platform was titled “One Planet to Treasure” and had as a focus the conservation of energy.

Chelsea says music is her primary method of self-expression and loves to sing, dance, and perform.  She is a member of the CHS Show Choir and her church choir.  In addition to music, Chelsea loves to draw and is very involved with her youth group at the UnitedMethodistChurch.

After graduation from high school, Chelsea plans to attend Grand RapidsCommunity College where she hopes to major in fashion photography, fashion design or the performing arts.

Chelsea’s current project is for “Locks of Love” and she will soon cut off 10 inches of her beautiful, curly red hair to donate to that worthwhile cause. (She also donated her hair at age 10 and again at age 14 while a member of the North American Choral Company!)  She is looking for others to sign up to do the same.  If you or someone you know may be interested, call 514-9442 for more information.
